Club nights, bands and live performance in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north.
Our story
Local talent.
High standards.
Full production.
Concert-grade sound, lighting and visual systems support every performance.
Our story.
Northcote has changed. This room has too.
Since 2014, 24 Moons has been part of Northcote’s independent music and nightlife community. After changing ownership at the end of 2019, the venue entered a new chapter. In early 2026, we began a major redevelopment of our production systems.
The upgrade includes new sound processing and mixing infrastructure, expanded backline for bands and live performance, concert-grade lighting, immersive LED fixtures, and a 4K multicamera streaming and recording setup... as well as a shiny new website!
It’s a significant technical rebuild, but the purpose of 24 Moons remains the same: giving artists, promoters and audiences a space for new sounds, live performance, club culture and original events.
Good music, close to the people who make it.
From club nights and live shows to special one-offs, there’s always something happening at 24 Moons. Explore the programme below, find tickets on Resident Advisor and follow our socials for the latest announcements.

Good nights shouldn’t
cost a fortune.
Live music, art and a place to see your mates shouldn’t feel like a luxury. We work hard to keep 24 Moons affordable, welcoming and accessible, with reasonable ticket prices, inclusive events and fewer barriers to getting involved.
ACCESS FOR EVERYONE
We’re committed to making the venue easier to access financially, physically and socially. If there’s something getting in the way of you attending an event, reach out ... we’ll do what we reasonably can to help.
Everybody belongs.
Community focused
We support local artists, promoters and community groups, and encourage collaboration across music, performance, arts and education. From a first show to a long-running club night, we want people to have somewhere to share their work, meet collaborators and find an audience.
Inclusive
Everyone should feel welcome at 24 Moons. We respect difference and support self-expression. Different backgrounds, identities and ways of expressing yourself are part of what makes this place ours. Come as you are, and give others the same freedom.
Safe
Patrons, performers and crew should feel safe and respected. We ask everyone in the venue to look out for one another. Whether you’re on stage, behind the decks or in the audience, consideration for each other matters. If something doesn’t feel right, speak with our team.
Fun
Come to dance, see a show, meet people or discover something new. A familiar face, an unexpected set or a new favourite artist can make the night. Bring your friends, follow your curiosity and enjoy the room at your own pace.

words.

As a resident host on stations Skylab Radio (Melbourne) and LYL Radio (Paris), Ophelia is a heavily engaged member of the local scene; Using their platforms and opportunities to always highlight the productions of femme, trans and queer folk. In early 2020, this led them to found LUNA Blessings, a community-minded queer party that focuses on booking FLINTA artists to create safe and inclusive dance spaces. Recent years saw DJ Luv You embark on prolific European tours. Making appearances at Horst Arts & Music, Kala Festival, Field Maneuvers, WHOLE Festival, Club Raum, iBoat, Macadam, Adonis, La Station, Re:mise, Renate, Fèmmme Fraîche, Club Are, Electrosanne, Radio Radio, Gayhaze and PIP Den Haag among highlights. What makes a DJ Luv You gig special is their infectious enthusiasm and energy behind the decks. You can tell they’d just as quickly be amongst the dancers in the front, as up on stage, riding the grooves.
